I made my first knife when I was about 14 years old; I was inspired by a Copy of BLADE magazine that I had happened across. In that same issue of BLADE I found out about a group of Canadian Knifemakers and as soon as I had made the required number of knives I joined the Canadian Knifemakers Guild. I have never looked back since!
Currently I am a part time knifemaker, I specialize in mostly tactical and working knives. I believe every knife first and foremost is a tool and as such all my knives are designed to be used and used HARD!
I can work with a variety of blade steels. I like to use 154CM stainless for most of my hard use and EDC knives. I will use any steel a customer requests as long as it is the proper steel for the design.
I prefer to use synthetic handle materials, Carbon fiber, G10, Micarta these materials are stable, strong and provide a variety of finishing options.
All my designs begin life as a CAD drawing; it helps me visualize the design before I put it to steel. It is also a valuable tool allowing customers to see there custom in full detail before hand.
I do everything on my knives in house. This includes profiling, grinding heat treating, Sheaths (kydex and leather).
